Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Old Tyme Honey Wheat bread
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Assemble the Sandwich:
    1. Preheat a panini press or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    2. Lightly butter on one side of each slice of bread.
    3. Spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread.
    4. Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.
    5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pepperoni slices.
    6. Top with the remaining slice of bread, unbuttered side down, to complete the sandwich.
  2. Cook the Sandwich:
    1. If using a panini press: Place the sandwich in the press and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
    2. If using a skillet: Place the sandwich in the skillet, press down with a spatula, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping halfway through.
  3. Serve:
    1. Remove the sandwich from the press or skillet and let them cool slightly.
    2. Cut into halves or quarters.
    3. Serve warm with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.
