Salmon & Fresh Dill Yogurt on Rye

Ingredients

  • 647 Rye bread (toasted, optional) 
  •  Smoked salmon (lox or baked salmon can be substituted)
  •  ½ cup Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened)
  •  1 tbsp fresh dill (finely chopped)
  •  1 tsp lemon juice
  •  Cucumber (thinly sliced)
  •  Red onion (thinly sliced)
  •  Optional: dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Dill Yogurt Spread:

  • In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, fresh dill, and lemon juice. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Assemble the Sandwich:

  • Toast the bread (optional).
  • Spread a generous layer of the dill yogurt on one side.
  • Add the cucumber.
  • Layer the smoked salmon evenly.
  • Top the salmon with thin slices of red onion.
  • For an extra festive touch, garnish with an extra sprig of dill.
